Today, we’re introducing Native App Export for iOS, giving you a simple way to take what you’ve built in 8th Wall and bring it to the iOS App Store.
At 8th Wall, our goal has always been to make it easier for you to reach audiences with your 3D and AR experiences. For years, that meant no app required, with instant access from a single link and no downloads or friction. Now, it means flexibility. With this update, you can export to native when you need, publish to the web when you want, and manage it all from the same editor. No specialized knowledge, no extra pipelines, just a direct path from idea to app.
One workflow, multiple platforms
In June, we launched Native App Export for Android. Now, with iOS joining the lineup, you can take the same 8th Wall project and publish across the web, Google Play, and the App Store — all from a single workflow. Build once, then deploy to your audience wherever they are.
Publishing to iOS usually means working in a completely different way. You have to learn Xcode, set up provisioning profiles, manage native APIs, and rebuild your project just to get it ready for the store. That level of overhead keeps many developers out of the App Store. With Native App Export, 8th Wall removes those barriers. From the same editor you already use, you can package an iOS app that’s ready to submit or release on Test Flight, complete with app icons and launch screens generated at the right sizes, app permissions bundled in, and AR-ready permissions like camera control for native apps.
And because your project is still powered by the web, you can keep every version — native and web — up to date from a single project. With Live Reload, apps exported from 8th Wall pull updates directly from the web, so you can push new content instantly without resubmitting and going through the App Store review process. Seasonal campaigns, timed promotions, or new levels go live on your schedule. If you prefer the traditional approach, you can still export a static bundle for the App Store.
Get started today
With Native App export for iOS now supported, you can now take everything you build in Studio further. From a single project, you choose whether it lives on the web, Google Play Store, or in the iOS App Store. The workflow adapts to your goals, not the other way around.
We’ve already used this same pipeline to ship apps like Catch a Stack on the App Store and Play Store. Now it’s your turn.
To get started, open your project in Studio, choose iOS export, and Studio will package it as an installable app ready for submission. New to 8th Wall? Sign up to start building today.
