The Ultimate Mini Golf Game Jam has officially wrapped, and wow did the community deliver! In just a few weeks, developers, creators, and students took the pre-built Putt Putt Paradise project and turned it into a collection of wildly original courses. We saw retro arcade throwbacks, windy landscapes, laser-tag arenas, zombie survival maps, and even magical puzzle quests. The variety of submissions was nothing short of a hole-in-one.
This jam shook things up. Instead of starting with a blank canvas, participants got a fully built level with prefabs, physics, and controls so they could jump straight into customizing, experimenting, and adding their own twist. With Asset Lab helping generate custom models and props, creators really raised the par, surprising us with inventive mechanics and seriously polished designs.
To celebrate that creativity, our judging panel, including guest judges David Wyatt, Chao Jin, Garret the Gamer, and our own Rigel Benton, reviewed every submission. For the first time, the community also had a seat at the table by delivering the Community Voted Prize. The results are a set of winners that showcase the very best of what our devs can do.
🥇 First Place: Arcade MiniGolf by Pixel Fish Creative
Arcade classics come to life on the putting green. Each hole is a fully custom 3D environment inspired by beloved games like pinball, air hockey, and skeeball and reimagined as playable mini golf courses. Arcade classics come to life on the putting green. With fully custom 3D models and an enhanced putting mechanic, this project captures the retro arcade spirit while delivering a polished, inventive mini golf experience.
🥈 Second Place: Windy Golf by Andrew Kurano
It’s mini golf with a twist—an unpredictable wind system that changes the way you play. Gusts affect obstacles, the environment, and even player controls, pushing the boundaries of what Studio can do for real game development.
🥉 Third Place: Laser Golf by Natalia Cabalceta
Laser tag meets mini golf in this fast-paced mash-up. Dodge laser obstacles that send you back to your last stroke and aim for bonus targets that reduce your score. With added sound and particle effects plus an Asset Lab-powered start screen, this course is as stylish as it is challenging.
🎨 Most Creative: Zombie Golf City by Christopher Poole
What happens when open-world survival games collide with putt-putt? In Zombie Golf City, players scavenge supplies and choose different paths while managing resources, bringing a survival-horror vibe to mini golf. It’s a clever evolution of an idea Poole first explored years ago, now expanded into a truly novel concept.
🎭 Best Themed Design: Putt Jamborie by Revenant Reverie
One massive course, three spooky themes. From haunted villages to eerie Halloween forests to a pirate-themed beach, Putt Jamborie is packed with obstacles like skull gates, floating barrels, and tentacle traps. Collectibles and perks are hidden throughout the level, rewarding players who take the time to explore. This course is an impressively designed, multi-route experience that ensures each playthrough feels fresh and challenging.
🧩 Best Puzzle Level: SpellBall Quest by Kum Peng Han
SpellBall Quest transforms mini golf into a magical puzzle adventure. Players wield enchanted balls with powers like teleportation, anti-gravity, and freezing to overcome impossible physics challenges. With interactive level design, moving parts, and even a boss battle, this entry redefines mini golf as a fantasy quest.
👻 Community Voted: Halloween Mini Golf by Muhammad Dean Fitrah
A spooky celebration powered by cutting-edge tech. Halloween Mini Golf combines Studio with generative AI, turning text-to-image concepts into optimized 3D models. Gothic graveyards, eerie cathedrals, and a giant jack-o’-lantern hole set the stage for a course that’s as atmospheric as it is fun. In a clever twist, players putt with an axe instead of a club and roll a skull in place of a golf ball, adding to the game’s eerie Halloween spirit.
